Pal-O-Mine Equestrian, a not-for-profit organization providing a comprehensive therapeutic equine program using horses to facilitate growth, learning and healing for children and adults with disabilities, people on the autism spectrum, veterans and others, was thrilled to welcome the team from commercial real estate company Avison Young for a spirited day of camaraderie, fun and hard work on our 13-acre farm as part of the nonprofit’s Corporate Volunteer Engagement Program.

The Avison Young team helped in numerous ways, including building and painting two obelisks for use in a two-acre garden on the farm, where individuals in Pal-O-Mine’s vocational program, J-STEP (Job Security Through Equine Partnership) learn valuable skills like professionalism, time management and teamwork in a supportive, inclusive environment.

“The hard-working staff at Avison Young put their all into the day’s tasks, constructing beautiful obelisks that will help our J-STEP interns as they tend to their gardens,” said Lisa A. Gatti, Founder and CEO of Pal-O-Mine, now celebrating its 30th year. “Avison Young and its team are longtime supporters of our mission, and we are deeply thankful for their dedication.”

“I’ve been part of the Pal-O-Mine family for over 30 years, and in that time, I’ve witnessed its incredible growth and impact firsthand,” said Frank Pagano, senior director at Avison Young. “The number of lives Lisa and her team have touched through the healing power of horses is truly immeasurable. The Avison Young team is deeply grateful for the opportunity to support such a remarkable organization and to contribute, even in a small way, to its mission of empowering individuals of all abilities to thrive. We look forward to continuing our partnership for years to come and are always honored to lend a hand whenever needed.”
