Islandia, NY — More than 300 members of our law enforcement community and their families gathered at Pal-O-Mine Equestrian on Sunday, August 9, for the organization’s Law Enforcement Family Fun Day. Hosted by Pal-O-Mine in partnership with Living Blue Apparel, the free event gave law enforcement families an opportunity to relax, connect and enjoy a day on Pal-O-Mine’s 13-acre farm while honoring those who work every day to keep Long Island and New York City communities safe.

“Seeing more than 300 members of our law enforcement community and their families come to our 13-acre farm was incredibly meaningful,” said Lisa Gatti, Founder and CEO of Pal-O-Mine. “These men and women spend so much of their lives taking care of others, and we wanted to create a day where they could simply be together as families, have fun and feel appreciated.”
Sponsors and participants included the NYPD Equestrian Club, Slick Horns Horsemanship, Suffolk County Police Department Law Enforcement Explorers, New York Life, Bulovas Restorations, Davis & Ferber LLP, Southold Town PBA, the Suffolk County PBA, the MTA PBA, the Passaro Family, Messenger Papers, Chelsea Carol, NY BBQ Brigade and Starbucks. Legislators Samuel Gonzalez and Leslie Kennedy, Hon. Philip Goglas, Assembly Member Kwani B. O’Pharrow, and representatives from Suffolk County Sheriff Errol Toulon’s office and Suffolk County District Attorney Ray Tierney’s office.
“We are incredibly grateful to the sponsors and partners who helped make this special day possible,” Gatti said. “We are honored to stand with the law enforcement community and look forward to continuing this tradition.”
The event reflects Pal-O-Mine’s longstanding commitment to supporting first responders and their families through equine-assisted therapeutic programs that promote growth, learning and healing. To learn more, visit www.pal-o-mine.org.
